Paramount Pictures annonce pour le 28 avril 2015, le film The Gambler (Le flambeur) en édition DVD et Blu-ray de Rupert Wyatt avec Mark Wahlberg, Brie Larson, Michael K. Williams, Jessica Lange, John Goodman, Emory Cohen, Richard Schiff et Sonya Walger.

Le jour, Jim est un professeur de littérature qui n'hésite pas à être franc avec ses étudiants. Le soir, il est un joueur invétéré qui gagne gros, mais qui perd davantage. Il a d'ailleurs sept jours pour rembourser une large somme à ses créanciers. Dès que sa mère riche lui donne de l'argent, sa dépendance pour le jeu reprend le dessus. À l'aide d'une élève qu'il a prise en affection, Jim tente de remettre un peu d'ordre dans son existence. Mais il faut parfois plus que de la chance et du bon vouloir pour le sortir du pétrin.
